- Is it safe to assume that the heat flow of the coffee-cup (qcalorimeter) calorimeter is zero? Why or why not?
- The literature value for the specific heat of the metal, antimony, used in the experiment is 0.21 J/ g•K. How does your calculated data differ from the literature value? Cite possible sources of error.
- What would be the effect in the calculated specific heat of the metal if:
a. a lower initial temp was used?
b. a higher initial temp was used?

Chem2: For extra credit, answer this on a 1/4 sheet of pad paper: “When 1 mol of nitroglycerine decomposes, it causes a violent explosion and releases 5720kJ of heat: C3H5(NO3)3 (l) -> 3CO2 (g) + 5/2 H2O (g) + ¼ O2 (g) + 3/2 N2 (g) Is the reaction exo/endothermic? Draw an enthalpy diagram for it.”
